About Andrew Lewis

Andrew Andrew is a computer scientist, author, lecturer and freelance journalist with a strong interest in 3D scanning and computation. Andrew is currently conducting research in archaeometrics at the University of Wolverhampton, where he continues to advocate the use of linux and open source technology.

Andrew is also a keen Maker, with a fondness for legacy technology, reclaimed materials, and open hardware. Many of Andrews projects have been featured in O’Reilly magazine publications and at Maker Faires and conferences throughout the UK.

Most recently, Andrew has been invoved in the development of an opensource 3D scanning system called SplineScan. Further information about the scanner can be obtained on the project website, where detailed open source plans we soon be available for download.
